Check out this amazing video of a very strong tornado from yesterday in Northwest Ontario just after a modern fishing resort was destroyed.  At least a few fatalities have been reported by this tornado as very well-built structures were completely destroyed.  These tornadic supercells fired just ahead of a powerful trough that ejected from the Northern Rockies the day before producing several tornadoes across the Dakotas.  We should have been there!!!!!

Thanks for providing the links to the articles, Amara & Jim.
How incredibly ironic that the men who were killed had lived long lives in the heart of tornado alley. We just never know, do we?
And the story on the young man who survived with his family when their cabin went up too is amazing.
How do you process something like this? - when you make it, yet others right near you do not?
Heavy stuff to get your mind around...

Amazing they found the missing mans body a Kilometer away out in the lake.

As for the boy, I hope his parents keep a close eye on him for signs of PTSD. Surviving a storm like that can do it.

Looks like some more possible action Sunday Monday. We are hoping to get some more probe launches if the elements line up for us. Cheers..

Ironically, one of the dead and the missing guy are from Oklahoma. Ontario is probably the last place they figured to encounter a tornado.

I was chasing the area to the west in Manitoba all day and saw at least 4 good rotating storms. Problem is that the terrain in eastern Manitoba into Northwest Ontario doesn't have alot of options. Its all trees and no roads. I eventually had to give up around the MB/ON border because I just had no more roads to follow. Sucks to hear about this the day after.

The odd thing about this tornado is that two people from Oklahoma were killed in this tornado....in Canada.
