01may2009_capeEXTREME instability and a nice east-west oriented outflow/frontal boundary will set the stage for intense supercells later this afternoon across Northwest Texas.  There will be nice turning in the low-level flow throughout the day, but an intensifying low-level jet at evening will only intensify already sufficient wind shear for tornadoes.  Baseball to softball size hail will be common, but thankfully we don't have to worry about that in the SRV!  which makes all the armor worth it even if we weren't trying to get close to tornadoes.  We'll be heading southwest toward the Wichita Falls area shortly, with a target just west or southwest of there.  We'll have several chasers in the field streaming live video today, so be sure to check out the live tracker!   http://www.tornadovideos.net/full-screen-chaser-video.php

Okay.
I'll be the first one to admit it...
I'm confused by this thread. Actually, the article. It's for today, but it's Fri. night now, and these cells didn't hold together long.
Help me here if I'm missing something. Or, slap me - either way.
