Check out these videos of water spouts that occurred somewhere off the coast of Brazil on March 7, 2010, emailed to me by a friend down there.  These would have been perfect to intercept by jet ski!  A sign of future TVN projects maybe??  Enjoy!

WHOA !! amazing .. Totally agree with Reed there, Future Projects .. and one we can do in the UK as well.

Can they be as powerful as Land-Based Tornados ? I've seen lots of footage now of Spouts but none seem to measure up to even an F2 like we had here in Birmingham!

That waterspout happened on the shore of Santa Catarina, close to Florianópolis.
They are pretty common over there, and there are reports that the spout moved inland.

PS The woman in the first video is screaming "eu quero sair daqui" (I want to get out here). Ah, if I was there...

I agree, just get the waterproof housing on the camera and go for it.

I don't know if she was crying or laughing. But this waterspout occurred in Barra Velha, a city near Joinville in northern Santa Catarina. Waterspouts are very common here in SC principally in Florianopolis (capital).
And I live near Barra Velha too hehe.

i think the jetskis would b sick but it wouldnt be BACKUP so u would have to hook it and book it
