Well I didn't get as much as hoped but still had almost 12" of new snow at home and oh boy when I went to work Sunday afternoon for snow removal I had to go through a 4' snow drift. There was close to 16" of snow down there which is in the south shore area which some areas recieved 20".

It's now 11 pm and still no snow the dew point right now is 0 so no action. Although the snow amounts have gone up for my area according to fox news now it's 12-18" so we will see come morning.

Well sitting here waiting for the snow to start falling. NWS is prdicting 7-15" of white gold here. I guess there will be a white Christmas after all. I'll post some pics when it gets going around here and maybe a vid as well.

My name is Brian by night I'm a maintenance supervisor for a liquor distributor and by day I chase severe weather in Massachusetts between naps that is.

I participate in Skywarn for NWS Taunton, MA on the amateur radio side. The call sign for NWS is WX1BOX and my call is W1KBA. For 2010 I'm going to start shooting video hopefully catching a tornado. I have been saving my pennies to take a trip to the midwest for real storm chasing. It probably won't happen this upcoming season but if all goes well 2011 season.

I had the privilege to meet Reed and Chris last month at a weather confrence here in MA. I also got to check out the DOMINATOR and all I have to say is it's AWESOME.

I have been trying to understand how to use the radars and other tools provided by NWS but not being a meteorologist makes understanding the radar somewhat difficult for me.
