March 25, 2009 - (Atlanta, GA)
There is a serious possibility of MDT or HIGH risk on Saturday, March 28, over the SE US. NC, SC, GA, AL, FL Panhandle, KY, TN, and WV could all be seeing this weather. Quote moderating member Andrewmn:
"I'm surprised no one is posting more on this day. This has potential to be a rare HIGH risk day.
Right now 1500-2500 joules of CAPE with no cap and crazy low level shear is forecast on the models."
I will keep you updated throughout the event to the best of my ability through this blog and the Nowcasting thread on the forum.

This is a warning for every person living on the East Coast of the United States of America, from Miami to Augusta and everywhere in-between: The Bermuda High has set up in a position that has previously hurled storms such as Fran and Floyd at the east coast. As EF-0 member Tornadofan504 put it,
"The high set up a diffrent way in 2005 because the high was blocking every thing from going into the east coast so every time a storm would form it would get knocked into the Gulf Of Mexico and with the gulf waters being near 90 degrees almost every storm became a CAT. 5 at some point and this year it looks like its setting up for the east coast so If you are on the east coast Of the U.S. I would watch out this year because we saw what the high can do to guide storms in 2005. I think It shows how the high takes a hold of the storms and guides them where it wants them to go."
In other words, those on the east coast, come June 1, KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN.
